We had a lovely day here - the weather was perfect, and it's a sprawling zoo with lots to see. The highlight for us was a great set-up where the zoo visitors sit in stadium seating around a large man-made pond, and keepers work with...More

My family enjoyed the zoo lights and the layout of the zoo. The price was great and the kids loved every bit of it.

Pick a sunny day, grab the kids, wear some comfortable shoes, have a great walk and learn a few things about nature. If it's your 1st time, you might want to take the tram around to get an idea where everything is, then go back...More

The Denver Zoo has completed some major renovations and the result is educational and authentic tour of the animals and their native habitats. The Asian elephant exhibit is one such exhibit and the shows are not performance based but encourage husbandry behaviors in the animals.

Very well laid out, a family with children can see most of the highlights before it's nap time. Lots to do, lots of interesting information, both from the signs and the docents at various places.

Many of the animals were hidden because of the cold temperatures. Would be better to visit in other season.

This place was amazing! So many cool animals! Loved seeing the giraffes and gorillas. The polar bear looked depressed though. Also, the sea lion show was too cool!

I don't know if the day of week matters. I went on a Tuesday and was fairly busy with groups of day camp kids. It is better to go early in day as many animals were hiding out from the hot afternoon sun.
