Was a little chilly the day we visited, and crowded since it was a free day, but we still had a very nice time. I'm not sure if it was the weather or time of day, but we were not able to see many of the animals. Will certainly go back for another visit in the spring.

The day was overcast but the zoo was busy because it is a nice zoo. I visited with a friend, and we had a good time chatting and looking at the exhibits. The visitor areas are wide with lots of seating and various play spaces. Some exhibits are older but updates are currently underway..but even the historic exhibits are interesting.... More

The Denver Zoo is 80 acres in the City Park, with animal enclosures of varied interaction types, and well-crafted self-directed education stations. Plenty to keep three adults: a married couple and friend with a bright-eyed, energetic 2-year boy old properly interested, and entertained. The grounds are attractively designed, incorporating art into nature, and are well-maintained. Right now is an especially... More

I always enjoy the Denver Zoo. Seems they are constantly upgrading and changing things so you never tire of the same-ol-thing. At this point in time, they have a handful of new babies they are proud of and like to show off. Easy viewing of the animals. Not like other zoos where you have to stand far away behind a... More

It has been sometime since I was at the Zoo. I always enjoy it but haven't had a recent experience here. The only thing as a negative I have to say is that Parking is precious.

Now is the time to visit the Denver Zoo while the baby giraffe is still a baby. It was born February 28 and so small it has to reach up to its mother to feed. The new tiger exhibit opens March 17 so you might want to wait until then.

Went there on a Thursday and still lots of visitors, but it didn't seem crowded. They have a new baby giraffe that is very cute. There is also a way to go in and feed the giraffes. We skipped that due to the line, but it looked like fun. They will soon open a new tiger exhibit where the tigers... More

The Denver Zoo takes good care of their animals. That is important to me. It is a very well visited zoo and you need to get there early on a weekend if you go during that time. Families are of course traveling with their children and it gets crowded. The zoo has various encounter activities that you can take part... More

We have visited many times and at different times of the year. Denver's great weather allows you to do this. It is conveniently located by City Park. The Zoo Lights experience is also fun to experience at Christmas time.
