We enjoyed visiting the Denver Zoo. It is located by a golf course and the Natural Science Musuem. It was quite a challenge for us to find the zoo entrance. Once we did locate the entrance, parking was a even greater challenge. Unless you get...More

We had a very good time! We fed the giraffes and birds. It wasn't too crowded even though it was Father's Day weekend. It was hot but there was plenty of shade! Take the kids if you are in Denver- they will like it!

Stop, don't take the train ride. We paid $9, just to ride around in a circle, to say the ride lasted 2 minutes would be pushing it. You get on,go in a circle once and then get off. Even our daughter was surprised. At our...More

I believe the zoo is open most days during the winter. However, if there is a very cold spell and or, a lot of snow, they may close. Certain animals that are exceptionally effected by cold weather would be kept inside then... More

I don't know if the day of week matters. I went on a Tuesday and was fairly busy with groups of day camp kids. It is better to go early in day as many animals were hiding out from the hot afternoon sun.
