When you consider the small-ish population of Colorado, and not so wealthy, it will amaze you how Coloradoans have managed to build and support such a wonderful museum. This museum rivals many museums in larger cities and beats the pants off of LACMA, a museum with a richer population base.

Many exhibits painting, sculptures and textiles. We enjoyed the textile the best a little too much abstract for us. The Museum is very large so wear your walking shoes. To really enjoy the museum come early and have lunch at the restaurant it is a littke expensive but very good. This is at least a 4 hour visit.

We took our family to the Star Wars Costume Exhibit and were not disappointed. The cost was slightly high for adult admission, but my husband, who is a fan, said it was worth it. I was talking to someone else who brought their toddlers, which wasn't helpful to read and examine the displays. This exhibit was very well done, spanning... More

The museum is big. We spent a couple of hours and could've easily spent more time. There are all kinds of collections, from furniture to fashion to classic art, western art, modern art.

My wife and I have visited art museums in the U.S.A. and other countries. The only reason I did not select the very top rating for the Denver Art Museum is they have tough competition in places such as London and Paris! You will enjoy a nice variety of art in this museum and very likely a special showing as... More

Great exhibit, but very prequel heavy. Most of it is the costumes of Natalie Portman. Would still recommend.

The first Saturday of the month is free day at the museums and we lucked out. It was a bit crowded but we stayed in the contemporary section and that lasted us hours. It was a bright spot to the trip.
