The Cherry Creek Trail is a neat way to explore the city. Hundreds of miles of trails in the bike trail system! You can bike from Parker Colorado all the way into downtown Denver! My favorite spot along the trail is REI, overlooking Confluence Park. A great place to grab a Starbucks and snack and soak in the view of... More

Came to Denver for 3 days and wanted to ride the cherry creek trail. We stayed downtown and it was a short bike ride to get to the trail. We rode it 2 days and really enjoyed it. Some of the trail is right down by the creek and is really nice and peaceful and some of the trail and... More

Beautiful, safe trail extending all throughout Denver. Great ride from Elitch Gardens to Cherry Creek mall, nearby parks. Very little elevation change and great two-way traffic. Use a public bike or bring your own!

While we only took advantage of the more urban part of the trail, we saw that this extends a very long way and out of the city and suburbs. Used the trail to go from the city to Cherry Creek Mall. Trails very well marked to keep bikers and runners separate to avoid collisions. Plenty of entry and exit points.... More

Rented bikes from a shop on 9th and Broadway ( great bike shop) and rode this trail on a beautiful sunny day. Great trail the provides views of the city and as you get outside the city passes shopping centers, historic sites and the prairie the beginning of the trail is relatively shady and it opens up as you move... The Cherry Creek Trail is one of our mainstays in the Denver area for biking. We often park at the Cherry Creek Mall (sorry if we’re not supposed to!) and bike along Cherry Creek into downtown Denver. The section from the mall to downtown can be crowded and I’d recommend getting a bell (I know, it’s embarrassing for “real” bikers... More

While it is a great thing to have such a long trail in the city I think it is more geared towards bikers. For one thing the bikers think they are running the Tour the France and are not very careful in looking in on who else is on the trail. At the same time if you go early to... More

From way out here along the Piney Creek trail through Cherry Creek State Park is very nice. Some areas can be high traffic both pedestrian and bicycle. Kind of long but fun on our electric assist bikes.

I find this to be a very interesting trail to say the least. It is a nice smooth ride, but the variety of people along the trail are what is interesting. About a third of the people are locals riding bikes to and from work/fun/etc destinations, another third are the people out for a jog or bike ride for exercise.... More

Best part of trail is from Cherry Creek Shopping Center to the Cherry Creek Dam and back to the Center. Great round trip with flats, up hills and down hills as well. Bike all around the dam and park , lots of great scenery and the rout is 100% paved.
