What a drive to get here - if you are afraid of heights this might be a bit scary! There is unbelievably no guard rails going up the mountain - it's crazy. But it is a nice paved road. The drive is fairly slow so...More

Every time I fly into Denver, I have to make the drive to mount evans and drive this byway. It is so peaceful and see wild animals just about during every trip

Never again will I drive this road. I have driven many different highways/byways/freeways, etc., but nothing like this. I never thought I had a problem with heights but this drive was something else. First, the two lane road is narrow, barely enough room for two...More

Driving this road is an annual trip. The views almost from the beginning are awe inspiring. Often a variety of wildlife AND weather along the way.

Incredible views. Some nail biting areas to drive but well worth it. Altitude can be an issue for those of us living at sea level normally but a must see and drive!

Drove the byway with my pups...absolutely stunning! If you're a low lander, like myself, take O2! It'll make it more enjoyable, if you're not struggling to breathe.

We traveled this byway when we were on a tour bus, Gray Line Tours. It was fantastic. The scenery is spectacular with lots of places to stop and get some cool photos.

In late September, I would first check the road and make sure it is open. You would be getting close to snow season at that elevation, and once the road drifts over, it is closed for the season, not opening until about... More

There is none. It is a very worthwhile trip if you decide. Easy drive from Denver. If you decide to, go on Tue-Thur and there will much less traffic.
