So much more than I expected out of this visit. The space is simple, but very pleasant. It's one of few places where the tastings are free, and you get MANY tastes. I believe we tried somewhere around 13 different wines, including a delicious Port. The tour was excellent! Birdie, one of the owners, gave us lots of interesting information... More

We stopped in here to try their wines while in the Denver area. Cute little wine bar with a wide selection of award winning wines. They let you sample their wines before purchasing them and the staff is very informative and very helpful. Good wines at a descent price.

Got information for this winery from the Denver Visitors Guide. Was very happy we stopped. It's in a bit of an industrial area but don't let that fool you about the quality of the wines. I recommend going over lunch. They will let you try all of their wines (14-16) complementary but if you don't have something to eat with... More

Who would think there would be a winery in the heart of a very industrial part of Denver. Balistreria Winery is just that. Stop by for a glass of their wonderful wine, complimentary cheese and crackers or a delicious lunch. John and Birdie Balistreri are always welcoming and helpful.

We recently had family here from Texas and they are interested in Vineyards and quality wines. I found this by accident. I don't drink wine, but I must say this was an amazing place. Everyone had a great time! This is one of the best kept secrets in North Denver! It has a Restaurant too. I learned so much. The... More

I'm a wet white wine drinker so coming to Balistreri that mostly has reds was a challenge for me. However it was a good experience and they offer some perks that most vineyards I've visited do not. I don't want to ruin it for anyone so you'll have to go see for yourself!

To be up front: I've never had the wine here, I've only been here for company events. I work at the wastewater plant - just down the street. It's actually the largest West of the Mississippi. Cons: If your looking for scenery, I wouldn't even come into this part of town. The area is what locals call Commerce City. It's... More

WOW!!! Free tastings. Excellent, knowledgeable staff. Family operation. Cheese and crackers to accompany tasting for free. We did not eat here...but for wine tasting just wow. Don't let the short drive out intimidate you. The experience is great.

WOW! I am from the Denver area and had NO idea this was in town. My girlfriends and I had lunch/wine tasting and the tour, and it was one of the friendliest wineries I have ever been to! Lunch was amazing and everyone at our table was impressed with their meal. Wine tasting was fun and our wine server/pourer was... More
