When my sister worked at the Barnes and Noble here, I used to like coming down to say hi and then finding an excuse to sit out on the mall and listen to people playing instruments or enjoy the day in a fairly well shaded area. Unfortunately, the B&N closed and there's been a number of incidents lately that have... More

This area is great. We were lucky enough to stay a block away from the 16th Street Mall. So much to do and see. Great eateries and shopping. We were able to see the vendors over the weekend which was nice. But the best part of all is the free mall ride bus. Just hope on at any traffic light... More

The 16th Street Mall has become a play area for drug abusers and transients. Crimes occur on a daily basis to the point the city has to have around the clock security. Unless you want to field questions from a child like 'is that man a doctor' No 'then why is he giving himself a shot in the corner' I... More

The concept of the mall is great, but the shopping was typical, standard fare -- lower end and uninspiring.

Like with any big city, you have to be aware of your surroundings. Here, there are tons of shopping and eating opportunities and a few sketchy characters wandering around at different times. There are also plenty of police with a high profile presence of patrol cares parked in the middle of the mall. The free Mall Ride takes you from... More

The one thing I remembered about my last visit to Denver in 1996 was the 16th Street Mall. However, that trip was only a stopover so on this last trip twenty years later, we decided to check out the Mall again. It was nothing at all like I remembered and the only thing I really liked about it was the... More

There is nothing spectacular about this area, typical tourist trap type stores along with a Ross and TJ Maxx which I see in several major city downtown areas. The selection at these discount stores seem to be picked over but likely due to the heavy traffic in and out of them because of their location.

The 16th Street Mall has become a little seedy. It's a little dingy the retail is down scale, and there seem to be a lot of people and handling or sleeping in doorways that I don't remember from 10 years ago. I would not take my young kids for a walk on the 16th Street Mall these days.

Tons of shops. Some reasonable and others...dig real deep! Nice shuttle to ride and stop wherever you like in the mall. Take it all the way to the Capitol and explore!

The 16th St Mall in Denver is a great idea! A pedestrian mall is a great use of space and makes it very convenient for people to access stores and restaurants! The bus that runs up and down the mall makes it even more convenient! I'd definitely recommend it!!
