I had time to kill before my tour at the Denver Mint so I "popped" in. 3 hrs later I left (still made the tour :) )! It was SO worth the time! What a great venue to learn about the history of Colorado and...More

What an interesting museum. As an elderly couple we took our time to read all the information about Colorado. Diverse stories of different communities ranging from the Indians fighting for their ground, why the Japanese were put into compounds during the war despite living in...More

This is a well organized museum that offers an impressive array of items to view and that also has several interactive items to keep the young visitors interested. The newly opened (11/18/17) exhibit highlighting '100 items' is itself, worth the visit.

From the giant map to the Model T "drive" in the county to the recreated Japanese internment center of Amache, every one can learn something and have fun. The kids love to try everything.

Currently there is a western art (the western USA) exhibit that is very nicely done and worth the trip on its own. There are good exhibits on the development of Denver and the mining industry. It's typical of museums showcasing the history of "their" town...More

My 10 year old grandson insisted we visit this museum a year ago after a school field trip. We went and loved it. We returned with out of town guests last week and once again my grandson was enamored with the place. Who'd have thought?...More

This is a gorgeous modern building but is surprisingly empty. There are only a few exhibitions but we found them interesting for getting a taste of the history of Colorado. One off note-when we bought our tickets we asked the young woman selling them, where...More

There is some wonderful art here, and some spectacular artifacts. We all enjoyed the huge map of Colorado on the ground floor which you can admire from the top story.

Check directly with the museum. They were very helpful. We had discount tickets -we bought a package for $25 for three days - discounts and free entrances. So, we did good and saved over the $25 outlay = it may be similar... More
