It's very sad to say, but as a native Denverite, I'm embarrassed by Civic Center Park, it's a hub for vagrants, drunks and druggies and it's sad that the city essentially takes no action to deter these individuals from marring what should otherwise be a...More

It's smaller than it looks on the map and crowded with the homeless. Other than being close to other attractions, it isn't a destination in itself.

This, at one time, was a lovely park where one could relax during an excursion in the downtown area. Now, with the homeless, the vagrants, and the druggies, it is no place for families.

A beautiful park marred by many transients. It might be better to just drive by rather than walk through if you do not know the area.

In town with beautiful views of the state capitol and mountains. Just a short walk to the 16th street mall. Nice area to kick up your feet and enjoy a snack in the sunny colorado weather.

As others have noted, Denver seems to have an exceptional number of homeless, many of whom spend a lot of time in this park. We walked through on a Sunday morning, and it was not a particularly comfortable visit. Perhaps it would be nicer during...More

There is a minimal amount of street parking at meters (average 2 hour max). Best bet if you're going to stay for awhile, park at one of the nearby surface lots or if you don't mind hoofing it, there is a parking garage at... More
