This is conveniently just off the I-70 freeway, but it seems further away. We drove as high up the road as we could which ended in a parking area and picnic area. It was quiet and peaceful with pretty mountain views. There are some picnic...More

We stopped by here twice and wasn't sure where the Buffalo were. We walked around the path which is lovely and would be great for all ages. We never saw any animals.

This is about a 12 minute drive off of I-70, and worth the stop. We drove up to the second highest parking area (the road was blocked to the top), and we walked up the rest on a very easy trail. The views are nice,...More

I've worked right by here for several years now and I really enjoy watching the local bison herd. The city of Denver manages it and they do a great job. Very soon the baby bison will start to show up. There's a new bike path/pedestrian...More

There are more hiking trails here than I anticipated. We ended up doing a pretty long hike and, even though it was an August weekend, we didn't see all that many people. There are trails for all levels of fitness here. I recommend.

My husband, son and daughter-in-law and three grand children, to were six and one was 2 all went hiking in Genesse Park. The trials were marked and it was a beautiful area. Took us about an hour on the trail we took.

This park has amazing views, great anytime of year. The park has a small fee to enter but has many trails. Added bonus it has views of Denver.

From reading some other post, we were expecting to see bison roaming "freely" along side several acres of fenced in highway. What we really found were several bison pinned in a smaller fenced area alongside someone's property.....

We were very disappointed with this stop. We did not see the buffalo and several times throughout the trip we thought we were lost. Hardly any paved roads.

I don't think there are elk in this park but instead buffalo. This park is huge and it is a hit or miss if you see the animals.
