There are camp grounds, hiking trails. Bike paths, marinas and so much more. Visiting this September with the color change was an added bonus.

Best and highest lake to sail. Get out on any water craft, get a drink and enjoy the view. Must see! If you can make sure to catch a free show at the amphitheater. One of the best small outdoor venues to enjoy some tunes.

The path along the lake is our favorite for bicycling and walking with incredible views. The town of Frisco at the west end is a great destination as well.

Nothing can beat a lake surrounded by mountains. While you aren't allowed to swim in Dillon Reservoir (too cold), there are so many other things to do on the lake including sailing, paddle sports (even stand up paddle boarding and a rowing club, camping and...More

I love the bike/walk path as it has so many amazing views of both the lake as well as the many surrounding mountain peaks. Super well maintained and smooth and well worth many return trips.

Large lake surrounded by mountains snow capped much of the year. Marina with boat fishing and sail boat rentals. Lots of sail boat races. Trail around lake is a great walk

I believe you can, no signs saying not to. There's a bike trail that circles the lake and many water access points that I've seen people launch kayaks and canoes off of. There's also a real cute little restaurant at the... More

There are many campsites! Our favorite campground on the lake is Prospectors Campground. We've also stayed at Peak One Campground.

For boats yes, but I don't think anything is needed for rental of kayaks, canoes, paddle boards.
