The Bar D presents a simulacrum of the old west chuck wagon dinner, complete with music around an imaginary campfire. While the enterprise has become more and more commercialized, the fun factor holds its own. (It seemed more rustic and raw back in the 1980s.)...More

We had a nice dinner and show here after a long train ride. We did the all day Durango-silverton train and drove straight here afterwards and the timing was perfect. The dinner crowd was very low the evening we went so we had plenty of...More

A perfect place for a summer family outing. I love this place. I take friends and family from 1-99, and they love it.

Visiting friends in Durango over the holiday weekend. Told us that all 6 of us are going to a "Chuck wagon" dinner. I thought eh .. ok... and after getting there and walking around and shopping it got nothing but better from there. Great little...More

The Bar-D Wranglers are excellent musicians, singers and entertainers. Go here for the entertainment and look at the dinner as a nice to have extra. Dinner is "chuck wagon food" -- sliced chicken and/or beef in a sauce, or a steak, beans, baked potato, and...More

Dinner was plentiful and was good. Amazing how fast everything was served. The part that made the night was the four gentlemen who put on the show after dinner. If in Durango I would highly recommend having dinner here. The location is equally beautiful.

Please call the reservations line 970-247-5753 when you know your schedule. They can tell you the expected size of the crowd. If it is only 300-400, then all seats will be great for the show. If it is a weekend or we are... More
