There is ample parking just off the road. The first half mile is a flat maintained gravel path. This is a great walk if you need some light exercise or if you need to acclimate yourself or guests to the altitude. There are usually some mountain bikers, families with kids and strollers and locals out for some degree of work... More

This trail is both hard and easy. Starts out easy and when you're heading up the second bluff - the rocky trail becomes more difficult! Two plus miles one way, so make sure you have water and sunscreen - there's very little shade. And go early, it gets hot!

four mile trail to the top of coyote ridge. wildlife: saw one snake, heard a rattler. prairie dogs a plenty, red tail hawk, rabbits, butterflies. like to get back in the late evening and see mule deer and the possibility of a mountain lion. if you're mountain biking, there are some rocky spots. like to go again some time.

Nice hike, not difficult and did not seem overly crowded. Able to rest and listen to the animals running around. If you are searching for a diversion from stress, this is a nice break.

Coyote Ridge is a fairly easy hike for the mobile. Popular with runners and mountain bikers so be aware that you are sharing the trail. Dog friendly on leash. There are also paved walkways for handicap accessibility.

We enjoyed biking these trails. There is some climbing, but it is well worth coming back down. The last mile coming back you are really able to get some speed. Enjoyed the ride!

Coyote Ridge is a great short hike that is near the city but gives you a taste of wildlife and the great outdoors. The trail head is located between Loveland, Co. and Ft. Collins, Co., just a few miles either north or south of the respective city. From Ft. Collins you go south on Taft Hill Rd., cross Trilby to... More

My husband and I recently hiked here. We are not frequent hikers (we live in Illinois) and are not in the best shape. (We could both lose 25 or so pounds.) We were winded when we got to the end of the hike, but not completely drained. And what a beautiful walk! You do not need hiking shoes. Good gym... More

If you are in the mood for a short hike and love the lowlands of CO, this is the place. We take the kids here for a 2 mile out and back. Great views of the front range, ranger station is great for a little learning about who shares the land with us. It is also great as a place... More
