An excellent museum with tons of stuff to do for the kids. Lots of musical instruments, science, animal and history exhibits. You can spend a lot of time here. The price is very good as well.

This is a great place to occupy a few hours with kids. It is very interactive and fairly different from other childrens' museums. There are several small critters to look at and learn about, including an interactive live ferret exhibit. There is also a large collection of unique musical instruments that the kids can play with and learn how sound... More

I loved it. Some hands on geeky science stuff--WONDERFUL-- which keeps my interest and some local history I didn't know. The BEST was the side by side taxidermed bison and the bison skeleton. I spent twenty minutes poring over and comparing them.

A very interactive children's museum. The kids (about age 5) basically ran around the building for the first hour we visited, unsure of where they wanted to go next and bursting with excitement. The music area is a highlight. Kids (and adults) can play on guitars and drums, xylophones, and in a synthetic beat making room. Another highlight is the... More

Here is the context: 1) We have a 3 year old granddaughter, who we take there often. 2) I am a semi-professional musician (going on 50+ years) 3) My wife is a retired kindergarten teacher. Bottom line - this is a great place to "discover" - I wanted to say have fun, but you can have fun when you discover... More

Can't say enough about this place. We take my grandson there several times a year and never get through the whole facility. He loves the giant train set and we have to tear him away from it. Then he gets into all the other exhibits and interactive features. It is always a welcome outing.

This museum is primarily designed to introduce children to development of science and culture through time. It is fun for both kids, parents and grand parents. Many displays can be handled and tried, such as different musical instruments, designs, etc. A good place to spend a few hours with out of town guests and their children.
