I went here years ago on a field trip with the school class. It was very interesting to think this was how Ft Collins got it's water. It takes about 1 - 2 hours to go thru it. FYI- the options for when I visited doesn't go back far enough , so I picked a 206 date. Good for kids... More

Motorcycle riding in this area is great. After passing this place several times I stopped. The road, especially into the foot hills is not to be missed, the actual building just an older building.

This is a must see especially if you live in Fort Collins and want to know more about the water supply. Good historical focus.

The drive to this first public water works in Fort Collins is quick and pleasant. Parking is easy on a grass lot. This site is a project of the Poudre Landmarks Foundation and the volunteers are plentiful, knowledgable and enthusiastic. Sadly the original pumps and turbines were sold for scrap metal during World War I but there are many artifacts,... More
