This bridge is on the National Register of Historic Places because of its unique design. When built in the 1920s, it was the longest such structure in the country. It is now only used for foot traffic and provides a great view of the South...More

I was born and raised in Fort Morgan, Colorado, and haven't been back in many years. So it was a nice surprise to see that they renovated Rainbow Bridge so you can actually take a walk on it over the Platte River.

Easy to find off Main St. It spans the Platte River is quite long. You cannot drive on the bridge, but can walk it or possibly bike it. This must have been something in it's hey day. Looks beautiful!

Take a nice walk along the South Platte and enjoy the Rainbow Bridge. Built in 1922, the original road and bridge still stand in Ft Morgan as a stellar example of a rainbow arch bridge.
