Spent a half day "class" in glass blowing - it was very hands on, and extremely interesting to both watch and participate in the creation of glass art. I've always been a fan of glass as a medium, but left this experience with even more respect for the craft. I really loved doing this -- but I would say it... More

Beautiful glass artwork and such a fun opportunity to observing and giving yourself and your friends a chance to see and feel how the art is actually made. The Glassblowing demo days are highly recommended for kids of all ages, nations, etc.... especially if you're just looking for something different! John and the staff were great giving my disabled friend... More

This was such a special family and friend birthday event. My daughter loved learning about the glass blowing process. They said it was so much work but were happy with the experience. John made the kids feel unique and special. They can't wait to share their project with their local elementary school teacher. I would highly recommend the experience. Just... More

John opened up the glass making studio earlier to accommodate us on our last day of vacation. Our family: two teenagers and a service dog felt right at home at his studio. John did a great job teaching us about the history of glass making and how to blow glass. Very interactive and fun experience. John involved all of us... More

One of our friends took us here and everyone got involved in the making of a drinking glass. It was a very complex process and after you see it you get why the stuff is pricey. It takes a ton of time and effort and whatever you make is a one-of-a-kind piece.

My wife and I did the 3 hour class with John while in Breck for a week for our anniversary. John far exceeded our expectations. To say it was "hands on" is an understatement. I could go on and on but just trust me, don't miss the opportunity to participate in what is sure to be a once in a... More

We visited the Gatherhouse during demonstration time and watched John and his assistant (son?) hand make a beautiful green drinking glass. John provides constant and interesting information on each step of the glass blowing process. He also had 3 of our party participate when appropriate and help produce the final product. The pieces for sale in the shop are lovely,... More

Thank you for visiting our studio. I'm so glad you had a great experience. Our tumblers and ornaments are popular gifts/souvenirs but we'll certainly consider making more small pieces that will travel well -- thanks for the great suggestion. Safe travels and we hope you'll visit us again. More
