We really enjoyed this tour. What was so different about this hotel is the forward thinking of the owner. Running water in every room, fire hoses, and a head of it's time kitchen are just to name a few. Well worth your time.

‘The’ historic spot in Georgetown that you have to visit if you are there! We hit this in the middle of the week, so we got a very ‘personal’ tour from the docent. It is truly a fascinating place, with more than 90% of the...More

Impressive hotel of an old age. Nicely done and a hidden gem for history buffs. Adds to the overall charm of the town.

This museum was really interesting for our family visit. The guide is very knowledgeable and able to answer all questions. It is a nice trip back in time with original furniture and fixtures. The story behind it is quite interesting as well. Very affordable, about...More

I took the tour last year and loved it! So this year I took the husband and kids. They liked it too! So interesting and informative. What a gem Georgetown has!

Three floors of the building are on tour, including several guest rooms, the main dining room and kitchen and cellar. The tour lasted about 45 minutes, and our tour guide was knowledgeable and interesting. I have visited many house museums, but what I found so...More

Okay. I'll admit this tour was "my thing" but my husband and boys were drug along and enjoyed themselves. The artifacts were incredible and the detail offered on the tour was spectacular. Must see for the historian!

It is always encouraging to learn how enthusiastic people become about the museum. Our tour takes less than an hour, but it is filled with amazing stories most everyone (including husbands and kids) can relate to in some degree. Keep up the good work, Mom!

The check-in process for a group is tedious when each person has to wait for a hand-written receipt whether it's for cash or a credit card. Come early, bring your own water and lots of patience. The tour covers every room on every floor, including...More

Our tour guide Irene did a wonderful job sharing both the practical and personal aspects of the beautifully preserved hotel. She was extremely knowledgeable and helped us connect numerous aspects of the hotel with the personality and life story of the founder. The museum itself...More

Like you, the staff is fascinated with how the personality of Hotel de Paris proprietor Louis Dupuy is interwoven throughout the physical site; however, as you point out, it is the stories of people who worked, dined, and lodged here that builds a bridge through...More

I walked in a few moments before closing and the guides were more than kind, in giving me a solo tour. This was the best $7.00 I have ever spent. I felt like I had grossly underpaid. The hotel and rooms sit just as they...More
