I've been a number of times and I can say without a doubt this place is definitely an experience! The locker room is grim, the caves can be crowded if you don't time your visit right, and the building is very dated but without some of the desirable historic charm that it could have. HOWEVER, I have always enjoyed my... More

Booked a 25 minute massage and 50 minute facial, spent an hour in the caves, place was packed with people, standing room only. The solarium were they tell you to relax while you wait for your massage, packed, no place to sit. When lounge chair came available, gross, damp and old cushion. Massage was really only about 19 minutes, kind da... More

My husband and I recently visited the Vapor Caves. Very interesting! You are able to move between different caves that vary in temperature. I was not able to stand the hottest room but my husband loved it. My recommendation would be to bring flip flops, as we didn't and I wish I would have. We also both had massages. The... More

The vapor cave is a cave, keep that in mind. Caves aren't posh; they're dark and made of rock. Now that we're clear, this cave is incredible! Talk about healing and purifying. Yes, the locker rooms are old...so it the cave. The sketchy stairs leading into the cave are, well, sketchy, but that's the point. It's a cave. The magic... More

It's definitely worth to come here for the caves. It's a very unique experience. The dressing rooms and showers are a bit old fashioned, so it the quiet room, but that doesn't concern the caves, which are stunning. It's a great atmosphere, especially knowing this is all natural. For the caves I would do it all again. As for the... More

Have been here previously for massage and facial which were just ok. This time only caves. Not much I can say that hasn't been said, I like because it feels good on breathing and sore muscles. Came after snowshoeing and it was delightful. Husband liked it, while not something I would do every day...when in glenwood.... Staff friendly and helpful,... More

When I go to a spa I look expect a certain level of ambiance. This location felt cheap and dated. The locker room was very small and the restrooms were not attached. If you are looking for a pampering experience with a relaxing shower after your service, this is not the place to do so. The massage was not great.... More

It had been several years since we had been to the Yampa Vapor Caves. We still love the atrium area for relaxing between trips down into to the caves. Since it was Christmas weekend they were very busy which made the caves feel smaller than we remembered. Still a relaxing and refreshing place to go.

I went to the spa and enjoyed the vapor cave prior to an 80 min massage. When you enter the spa (with the purchase of the massage package) you get a robe, towel and flip flops...which i'm so happy I had. I changed into my swim suit and put on my robe and took my towel down to the cave... More

My wife and I were in Glenwood Springs for a week, and we visited the two hot springs locations. The vapor caves are a very different experience. We didn't take advantage of the spa offerings, but we very much enjoyed the vapor caves. The underground space is very peaceful, slightly surreal. The warm vapor is wonderful and very relaxing. We...
