Sunlight features 67 named trails covering over 470 acres. In addition to miles of cruising intermediate terrain, Sunlight's East Ridge has one of the steeper runs in the state. Aptly named, The Heathen falls beneath your feet at a breathtaking 52 degrees. Sunlight is home to one of the longest trails in ski country, Ute, a beginner slope that winds more than 2 miles from summit to base. Sunlight also hosts some of the best tree skiing in Colorado with many aspen groves untracked days after snowfall. All trails converge at the base lodge, so friends and family can always keep track of each other

My husband & son skied here for two days. They absolutely loved the runs and thought the staff here was great. We hope to all be back again next year. This time I may try to ski instead of just watching.

My expectations were blown away by this resort. I saw on the website that Sunlight only had three lifts and I thought it would be a nice, economical place to ski. I was extremely impressed with the runs and the value. The three lifts lead to 67 trails that are awesome! The view at the top is of the wild... More

The only family mountain in Colorado better is Wolfcreek. We skied two days and absolutely loved it! The snow conditions were excellent thanks to a recent dumping, and the variety of terrain was superb. We brought the kids and they were able to get out and hit some lower level runs, while the adults checked out the more expert terrain.... More

Affordable Ski Resort. It is never too crowded. A lot of fun ski paths and great for a family that is budget-minded. It is not Vail or Aspen, but it is a great family enviroment and affordable.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Sunlight Mountain Resort. We came here in a big group with the Ski, Swim and Stay package (great deal, btw) for the first time yesterday. The mountain itself is great as it has terrain for all levels. I booked a four hour lesson with Larry (great instructor) and found the staff... More

Wish the "bunny" slopes had been less intimidating. We had a great time though. Will definitely come back when the little one is older. Great time for beginners!

I was a little apprehensive about going snow mobiling but our guides were excellent and explained everything to us in detail. It was a very exhilarating experience. They outfitted us with gloves and snow suits and helmets. And I must say they were patient with me since I had never done this before.

We participated in the snowmobiling tours and absolutely loved it! We had AJ and Ty as our guides and I could not have imagined a better time.... well maybe if one our group members did not crash (but no worries, they got them out ASAP). We took the tour in the afternoon block and even though the price tag may... More

If you are a novice skier, this resort is a great place to get in good green and blue line runs to your heart's content. I saw many families enjoying themselves, and the staff is very friendly and happy.

Don't fight the crowds at the other resorts in Colorado. If you are a beginner or just want to fly down a mountain, come here. Sure they don't have as many runs, but there are some challenging runs and some beautiful views and it costs 1/2 the price. Then with the money you save you can eat at some of... More
