The walk up is steep, but there are places to stop and rest and enjoy the views. Once at the cemetery, I love walking around and seeing all the different headstones and family names. There are a couple of headstones of men who served in the civil war...but they are off the main path, so be sure to explore. Most... More

I'm a bit of a Old West history buff so I loved this place. Some of the reviews complain about the hike. They should be ashamed of themselves, it's less than. 5 miles. It is up hill but so worth it. Great Old boot Hill cemetery. Has not been in use since the 1920"s. Teaches a great history lesson. Not... More

If you love history and beautiful stonework, you should visit Linwood Cemetery. It is located at the top of a mountain and is a very rocky and steep hike. Make sure you have on good shoes and bring plenty of water. There are 2 different parts to the cemetery, so make sure to read everything posted and enjoy. Was a... More

Just One time in this Lifetime, I'd fall over dead if someone offered up any REAL info on any topic! How far is the walk bonehead reviewers. Sorry, but in this day and time of people needing to carry a gallon of water when they walk around the block, "carry lots of water" doesn't really give me any info. Is... More

It's a steep climb to the top to get to see the cemetery..but well worth the views! Glen wood springs is so beautiful. I think it's my favorite city in Colorado. Take water with you to climb to the top. Great excursion for an history buff.

There is a lot of really cool looking headstones. My 8yr old started to get bored because not much to do but read the headstones. But the rest of us enjoyed all of it.

Nice hike to the cemetery and you get a great view of the valley! Bring a good pair of shoes as it is steep and can be slick.

We've done this hike up to the cemetery in both summer and dead of winter. Summer trail is a little steeper without all the snow smoothing it out. It's a beautiful walk/trail and stunning views from the top - amazing photo ops. The cemetery itself offers informative plaques so u can know the history. Beautiful American flag up there, too....
