If you aren't an avid hiker, this hike is a bit of a challenge, but I completed it with 70 5th graders, so if they can do it..... Remember to be prepared with water, snacks, and good shoes. The hike isn't very long (2.5 miles I think), but it will take 2-4 hours of your day. I always like hiking... More

The trail is very busy, like non stop people going both ways kinda busy. So don't come here expecting a quiet nature walk alone. Try to ignore the crowd and appreciate the trail for all its beauty, and when you get to the top and see the lake it will take your breath away. Dont forget to do the extra... More

We went to hanging lake around Christmas time and it was amazing. It's a difficult hike, but the view at the top is worth it. I would recommend bringing the spike for the shoes, cuz when we went back down, it was slippery.

It's beautiful! That's why it's so popular and busy! I recommend visiting at off times....like early in the morning on a week day.....It's s short hike but intense! Bring water, sunscreen a hat and layers.

It's a great, easy hike but way too overcrowded now and no parking whatsoever. It doesn't matter what day or time of year you go--expect big crowds. Unfortunately, these crowd have damaged the terrain a bit as well. I have seen a lot more litter lately.

We hired bikes and we're driven up to the top of the canyon where we cycled all the way down to Glenwood. Hanging lake hike is a lovely trek up the side of the canyon with amazing views and the fab Hanging Lake...

This isn't an easy hike up due to the rocks and elevation gain. Your hard work is rewarded with the views at the top. It reminds me of the Pacific NW forest. Everything is so lush because of the waterfall and lake. It is worth the hike!

3 to 4 hr steep hike to get there but we did it for a wedding. Not for people that don't walk regularly. I didn't think I'd make it but it's large rocks that you climb over. But it was worth it. It also was raining when we went so it was muddy also. Wear good shoes I had on... More

The trail is only a mile, but its straight up. Its not an easy climb but once you get to the top you will be glad you made the effort. The lake and falls are unbelievably beautiful.
