Great views of golden and Denver. Safe for kids. Large parking lot but not busy when we visited. Will go back again.

Having a short period of time to spend in Golden (only a day), my friends were looking for the best "bang for our buck" and we felt we got that with Lookout Mountain. The ride was definitely very twisty and the roads narrow at times...More

We drove & hiked to the highest point of Lookout Mountain to visit Buffalo Bill's final resting place. WOW What a beautiful place to be laid for all eternity. The road up to Lookout Mtn is incredibly steep and filled with hairpin turns so plan...More

Make sure you take the winding road up to this. It's an experience all its own. Watch out for the bikes.

The road getting up there is not for the faint of heart but so worth it once you arrive. Probably the closest place to heaven you'll ever be. We saw some wild life, mostly deer and did not venture too far into the woods because...More

We took our 9 and 11 year olds up to Buffalo Bill's grave and museum. They had a good time, loved the dress up area the most. Views were good, but it was raining when we went.

Came over to get a geocache and see the mtn. Driving up was nice. The park itself had many outcroppings to take in the view. The view and park are nice. Comfort station and trail map. Lots of broken glass on all the rocks. Shame....More

Buffalo Bill loved this spot due to the views of both the plains and the mountains. It was sort of in a transitional spot as you begin rising into the mountains. It was a very short ride off the interstate!

Got there midday, the weather was in the 80's and the view in any direction was great. Just remember to take lots of water if not use to that height.

Hi, we are going to Denver in the upcoming summer. We are fascinated with the photo of the Denver skyline with the mountains in the background. Almost looking into Denver. Where was that taken? And can that photo be taken with a regular camera? Thank you.

I took the pic from near the top of Lookout mountain in Golden CO. Just a short drive outside of Denver. I took the pic with my IPhone 6.

The road to Lookout Mountain is open 24/7 just like any other road in the city. It is not a park. There is no fee. It is just a pull off like an observation point. The road is steep and curvy but they do keep it... More
