The family travelled miles to visit this place only to discover fences everywhere, and vacant old beautiful buildings! They are going to tear the old historic buildings and the Alpine Slide down! Money problems aside, it seems they could have saved the historic buildings that...More

I don't know all the history of this place but I do know they're shutting down for good. The alpine slide was probably the best thing at Heritage Square but the latest word is it's shutting down. I believe a couple of things are supposed...More

Aside from taking kids there in summer time for an yesteryear's experience in an old fashioned amuzment park, I also really enjoy a leisure walk when the park itself is closed off season. It is all by itself a fascinating place, a time piece calls...More

Very neat place but too bad most of the businesses are closed. Use to come here as a kid when the place was bustling with people

Be sure to check to see what is open before heading to Heritage Square. There may be some entertainment facilities open, and maybe the summer slide.

Get there before it is gone forever. We went on an "old school" vacation with our kids (trying to relive our childhood) in Denver. Riding the alpine slide was one of those experiences and although it is quite expensive it was well worth it. The...More

Visited heritage square recently when heard they were closing. Found out that not all attractions are closing. The alpine slide is going away which is a shame. We made two trips down the slide cause one wasn't enough. Only complaint is they should sell a...More

Heritage Square is closing down in October 2015 due to having lost their land lease. The Alpine Slide is fun, but a little expensive for a 1 minute ride.

Trees grow throughout the park, and many of the buildings have awnings or overhangs that provide shade, more so than you're likely to find at other amusement parks. Shaded picnic areas are provided. It's a small park, so... More
