A beautiful area with a lot of lakes, along route 65 in Colorado. There is also a Visitor Center, providing information about the area. The area is very peaceful, and there were not too many people around.

Beautiful wilderness area with many lakes, trails and camping areas. Summer great for fishing, camping hiking. Winter cross country skiing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing. Best of all, a hidden gem in western Colorado.

We went in the late fall, early winter. So much peace and quiet. We saw eagles and enjoyed the fishing. I've lived in Colorado all my life and Grand Mesa is a very different environment with so many ponds and lakes and forests to explore.
