This is a great place to people watch, walk your dog, shop for curios or grab something to eat with many restaurants offering sidewalk dining although most are not pet friendly (big miss in our opinion). On Thursday nights they close down Main Street to vehicle traffic and host a farmers market that's a must see.

Offers a great opportunity to stroll along the avenues to window shop and feast. A nice mix of everything from clothing, books, antiques, art, etc., plus lots of food options. Main Street is lined with trees and flowers, benches and art sculptures. Every year that rotate sculptures that are used provide interest along the streets. If you enjoy art you... More

Our last visit to downtown Grand Junction was on the Thursday night Farmers Market. We were approached 2 times by homeless asking for money and they apparently now allow dogs at the market which made it somewhat unpleasant for me.(allergies) Many stores we wanted to visit were not even open at that time either.

Wonderful assortment of "specialty" shops and restaurants, along with great "art on the corner" and along Main Street! Beautiful flowers and trees on your walk downtown, too.

The wonderful downtown once held the title of the all American City. Artists display their sculptures through- out Main Street. Unique shops, antique shops, don't miss Heirlooms (all proceeds benefit Hospice) wonderful restaurants and beautiful trees, flowers, fountains and viewing spots through-out the walk. A must visit when visiting Grand Junction!

Main Street Grand Junction is a quaint, tree-lined old town street with plenty of restaurants, gift shops, biking and hiking shops, and small businesses. Every few yards there are unique statues that are fun to enjoy. Fountains, lights, trees, benches, flowers, and clean walkways make the downtown street a fun place for everyone.

I go to Junction frequently and bring my grand daughter of 4 yrs old. We usually have a wonderful breakfast at the Mainstreet Bagels restaurant. We usually visit the olive oil store and restock our cupboard. We also go the the "Nesting Place" to see if they have any new Disney pins for our land yards. There is a place... More

The downtown area has lots of great shops and restaurants. It has a very quaint and friendly atmosphere. We were there on a Friday in the early evening. Some of the shops had already closed, but others were still open and the restaurant scene was just getting stared. If you are in the area I would suggest that you visit... More

The downtown Grand Junction is a collection of kitchy shops and mostly up-scale restaurants, throw in some large life size (or larger) metal artwork and it makes for a very interesting walk. The bad part - if you're there for the weekend, expect to either go to a restaurant "early" for dinner - or not at all (in the downtown... More

Probably not worth going out of your way to see, but if you do wish to dine downtown, it's worth a small tour around to see the old buildings.
