This is the perfect trail for beginners or those acclimating to the altitude. You can hike a little or a long way and see beautiful scenery and we did see some elk a long the way. Kids can do this trail with little difficulty.

Nice trail with beautiful mountain scenery. You can go as far as you want-it ends at a pretty little lake.

This was a short flat hike. With kids-we wanted to test the waters to see how they would do. The wind and blue sky is amazing.

Very nice trail. It is also an 'interpretive' trail. Get information from the US Forest Service that will tell you what you are seeing along the trail. This trail is maintained by hard working volunteers.

Great trail with great mountain vistas. We rode to the top with ATV and hiked down to a car parked in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Will do more next time.

This trail isn't handicap-accessible, but it is easy at the start, going across the very pretty Kawuneeche Valley. Then it goes into the trees and starts uphill. We hiked a couple miles and then turned back. Would be a good trail to take your kids...More

Easy access and smooth path for hiking. Elk, mule deer, moose and coyotes spotted. Great view of the river also. Have a picnic. Restrooms available.

no, unfortunately it is not. You may want to check with trails that are closer to Denver--this one is more remote. Possibly Red Rocks Area, or the Colorado Springs area may have trails? More funding in cities is what I... More
