Great place for an evening stroll
Aug. 2020 • Family
Found this quiet spot after eating at Fisherman's Cove. Followed the boardwalk from Fisherman's Cove to this beach. Wide boardwalk that is well maintained and easy to use with a stroller. However, beach access is over bigger rocks leading to sand by the water's edge. We did not find a flat level sandy access to the water. Popular local fishing spot.

Great Circular Walk
Aug. 2019
Situated just a short walk away from the shops and Boondocks this boarded walkway around the small peninsula is a peaceful wander around with views across the water and vegetation either side. There is access to the water and some seating areas to just sit and enjoy the area.

Great walk with cool shops
May 2019 • Couples
Love the boardwalk to wander around in the summer and the shops that all open up for the tourist season. Good food and novelty items.

Get with nature
Jul. 2018 • Friends
Enjoy walking away from the shops and restaurants into nature. Stroll the boardwalk and step off down the rocks to the beach. Some fish, some stroll, and some build inukshuks , but everyone enjoys being there.

Lots of shops with unique merchandise
Oct. 2017 • Solo
The boardwalk is always gorgeous, on the beach, and peaceful. The many little shops have truly unique maritime and one-of-a-kind and hand made merchandise for sale. There are several nice places to have a meal for anyone's budget, and they often sponsor special days where family events are held. It's a delightful place to come spend an afternoon.

Great boardwalk
Jul. 2017 • Family
We always try to visit, high tide or low tide. The boardwalk is a great way to work off some of the great seafood consumed on holidays and the fresh ocean breeze is a relief from city heat

A gem of a spot!
Apr. 2017 • Friends
This is a great place to enjoy some fresh air, see the city from a different point of view, get a bite to eat, walk the dog, go for a stroll....all just a few minutes from downtown Dartmouth. There's also a small sandy beach. Photographers will like to keep watch for some amazing sunsets. The boardwalk is well maintained. This is a place that locals go to so that should say a lot. And it's free!

Feeling like a tourist
Jul. 2016
Great day tip, walk the board walk, smell the salt air, watch the sea gulls and other birds scurrying across the sandy beach. Take a walk on the wharf, visit the small craft shops, purchase souvenirs and local crafts. At the end of you day, stop in one of thr restaurants and enjoy the local seafood dishes, ours was the fish and chips, fresh haddock, cooked perfectly in a light beer batter. All of this and only 1/2 hour from the city.
