Tranquil, but on the ratched side..
This place is not the luxury spa I expected. The public pool was very nice. I can’t review the caves as they were closed when I went. We booked a private pool for an hour and it was HOT, but so nice. Take lots of water to drink in with you! The mineral water felt heavenly. My body felt very youthful after being in it for a couple of hours between the private and public pools. The effect I got was well worth the price. Take a lock with you if you want to store anything. The locker rooms and overall decor of the place are old, musty and dated. I still recommend going to if you’re near Denver though for a day trip because my body felt great after! Don’t know that I’d stay overnight though.

    Pleasantly Surprised!
Ok…I had read reviews and they were mixed. I can’t speak on the rooms and such but, we did an outdoor jacuzzi and really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly , the place was clean and the jacuzzi hot! Happy to say no “odor” from the water. When I asked I was told it was because they don’t have much sulfur. We thoroughly enjoyed our soak and will be back!

couple years I not visited Indian Hot Springs and last Sunday July 21, 2024, I was shocked how is price up - $40 cave and $35 swimming pool! And no deal for combination. And also, you need make appointment and you have session just 2 hours! The fountain where I can drink water have red color light (Dirty filter). Cabinets for clients stuff not locked. You need bring you lock. I understand prices up everywhere, but you need do improvement. Not advise

    Indoor hot springs...
The main pool was really quite lovely, large and so relaxing. It was like a mix between a hot tub and a swimming pool. We paid extra for the caves, which I don't recommend. It was WAY too hot, and nudity is allowed, and it's 100% humidity. I only lasted three minutes in that water. BRING YOUR OWN WATER.... they sell it there, but don't have any fountains or free water. You'll need it, I do recommend the main pool, though. That was nice.

I have been in the hotel/ Resort business for the last 20 years and was not pleased with this place .

When we arrived on Mother’s Day they gave us the keys to our cabin and they were still cleaning it . We finally got in an hour after guarantee time .
They were not very apologetic. That is a big boo- boo to give keys to dirty cabin .
I left a throw blanket on the bed by accident upon leaving . I called the next day to inquire about it .
After finally reaching someone they said that someone had found it but I’d have to speak with a manger in order to retrieve it from where they hold lost and found items .
After again many attempts to reach a live person they said they didn’t know where it was now but were looking for it .
I went there in person to speak with someone about how does a blanket go missing ? After it was found .
It should have been put somewhere safe with all the other items people left behind .
Typically you hold these items for a month . The question is how safe is your stuff when they can’t seem to track down a throw blanket they once had in their possession.
I asked them to track it to who cleaned it and go from there .
I have yet to hear back from them .
They were not very friendly nor concerned about the fact someone took the blanket as it didn’t just vanish into thin air .
They do not have a huge staff so this should not be a hard task .
Yes it was my fault I left it behind but one would hope you could trust your staff .
I will not be returning or recommending this place .
I’ve never wrote a bad review before but this is not okay what happened . Think twice before you come here or keep your valuables in your car .

We booked 3 nights here and it was failure after failure from the staff so far. We had the worst time trying to get in contact with the staff to book the lodge. This lasted for 12 e mails over 3 weeks... 3 nights of private Jacuzzi’s / Baths and when we finally get there for the first 2 nights we find we aren’t scheduled or told the correct times for our dates to soak. We were never booked for private venues at all and we were told the wrong times making us miss our times we had on file the staff themselves told us. While all of this chaos was trying to be solved the first night with staff a guest walks up and hands them a huge bag of weed they graciously accepted. I think they like it as tips. I think I may know what the problem is organizationally. I also booked the nicest room they said they had. When I walked in the bed was stiff as a board there are holes paved over in the wall. The “walk in shower” was coffin size and there was no fridge. Fire alarms we’re ripped out of the ceiling and the walls are paper thin. I can keep going, I’m truly upset and the staff has just continued to fail day 2 and a half through 3... 0/5.

We stayed the night and went into the pool only.

The pool was a neat experience, there were a lot of people in it, but it wasn't too crowded. The other water features had a minimum age and our kids were too young. If you stay at the property, you get a bracelet for one person to get into the pool each day, but the pool was extra for the other 3 people in the family.

The staff was fantastic. They were friendly and helpful.

The only negative is that our room, and I'm supposing it wasn't the only room like this, was getting pretty worn. The beds weren't the most comfortable, the door had to be wrestled open and closed because the handle didn't work quite right, the shower was small and the door didn't close properly. Those are just the effects of age though and didn't warrant me dropping the rating.

First, let me say that I have been to hot springs all over Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico, including two previous visits to this specific establishment. I have a great deal of soaking experience and I adore very hot mineral water.

I booked a private outdoor bath online a few days before my visit. When we arrived, we were informed that due to "spring break", the price was actually $5 higher per person, than what I had already paid and what was advertised on their website. Is it even legal to charge a higher price than what was advertised and already paid for? I don't know, but since we were already there and looking forward to our soak, we paid. Further, I added a tip since on a previous visit, there was an attendant that prepared the bath area for us. Lastly, we were told that the jacuzzi bubbles were turned off in order to maintain temperature control.Disappointing, but okay.

We arrived early, and were told we could head back to our bath early. It was a different bath than the one that was named in the online booking confirmation but no big deal. There was no attendant, so we changed into our suits and removed the very heavy cover from the tub.

Eager to get out of the cold air and into the tub, we were shocked at the scalding temperature of the water. I couldn't even put a foot in, it felt as if it were just below boiling. Although I didn't measure, I believe it was easily 130 degrees. Hoping that the removal of the cover would quickly cool it down, we spent 20 minutes trying to "stir" the water, like soup, in an effort to cool it. Unfortunately, the water did not cool and we were never able to get in. Tired of sitting in the 40 degree air waiting to get in, we changed back into our regular clothes and went to the front desk to get our car keys back.

After explaining the issue to the front desk employee, we did not get our money back. There is a sign posted in the tub area that states any problems must be reported within five minutes, which we did not see until we were leaving and they did not explain this policy when we checked in. She stated that she would "send maintenance to check on it."

Aside from the extremely poor customer service and terrible customer experience, quite frankly, they could be sued for allowing people into water that hot.

We will never visit this establishment again. Think twice before spending your hard-earned money here.

PRIVATE BATH REVIEW-

We arrived 10 minutes early to our 4:30pm reservation (which I paid half at the time of reservation) to be greeted with a line out the doors down the path. We approached the desk and told them that we had reservations and was told to go to the back of the line “because everyone had reservations”.
This is in fact false. The private pools and jacuzzis are reservation based. The pools and caves are day passes.
We wait in line and when we get to the counter at 4:45pm we were told that we could only be in the private pool until 5:30pm but would still pay for the full hour. I told the front desk gentleman that putting a disclaimer on the appointment confirmation email stating “We do not accommodate reservations, please arrive 30 minutes before your reservation in order to ensure you get your full hour”. He responded “We make everyone wait in line to be respectful of everyone’s time. It’s common sense to show up early. Dont you wait in lines at other places?”

When I pay half of the reservation and show up early, I don’t expect to wait in line and lose time that I pay for.
It was a ruined experience for us and would like others to be aware so they don’t waste time/money.

Really enjoyed visiting Indian Hot Springs. A lot of the other reviews made me nervous about my trip but I'm glad I went. My friend and I arrived around 10am on a Saturday with massages booked for the afternoon.

With a massage you get access to either the pools or the caves and a towel. The massages were a little pricey but still great. We had a slight reservation issue but the staff was so apologetic and helpful the whole experience was still fabulous.

This is not a hotel spa. This is not the Four Seasons. So do not expect that. But if you go in knowing this is a little bit rustic but a beautiful place with great people you'll enjoy yourself.

The caves were my favorite part. Clothing optional. Super hot. A must if you're looking for a real hot springs expereince.

The pool, also fed with hot spring water, was nice but slowly, as the day progressed filled with children and groping couples. Still check it out but go early and get out of the pool early. It's a shame they don't have children free hours. The caves are 18+. But the pool is still lovely, warm water, not as hot as the caves and youre surrounded by gorgeous tropical plants.

The massages were also great. Joel was the best, request him if you can!

There's no restaurant on site but they do have a gift shop with snacks and vending machines. I recommend grabbing a picnic lunch from some place before you get there.

Really I'd recommend this place to anyone that was interested and planning on being in the area. Great experience.

(This review is primarily about the springs, not the lodging).

This was our last main stop on a cross country road trip (aside from the few days driving back) and it was incredible. My kids still talk about it. We spent two nights here and it was a perfect way to end our trip after several days of hiking in various places. My older parents and kids loved it too.

I'm a little obsessed with hot tubs and hot springs (and also hot sauce, and heating pads and really...basically anything warm) so I knew I wanted to stay somewhere with springs. We checked this place out even though the website was a bit old/confusing and the reviews were mixed.

We thought this place was great. The main public pool is family friendly and gorgeous - we got in towards the evening on the first day, and they had dimmed the lights and were playing relaxing music. The pool is in a greenhouse like building with lots of beautiful flowering plants, as well as a historic gazebo and lantern. The water was like bathwater and SO relaxing to float in. It was crowded but the pool is large enough that you could spread out. There is also a spout in the back where the hot water comes in (around 109 degrees) and people are generally polite about taking turns and overall friendly and chill. The ceiling can be opened to the sky to let in sunlight or a view of the moon. I could literally spend hours here.

The other thing I was obsessed with were the caves - these are adults only, gender segregated and clothing optional and they are HOT (about 115 degrees). I think I went in about 4 times (bring lots of water, and don't stay too long). They are quiet, private and incredibly relaxing and the caves themselves have beautiful marbled rock. Even if other people are there, it's generally a meditative and quiet place where you can just BE. I even made sure to take a dip the morning we left as they open early.

There are other amenities. My parents booked massage as well as some time in the private pools. They said it was a bit too hot for them (They are similar to the caves) so we got to use the last half hour...it was nice as they were private, but my husband and I could be in there together.

I still fantasize about going back. Yes, the lodging is a bit outdated and simple, but I did not spend much time in the rooms. The main building (we stayed in the inn across the street) is also pretty interesting and has some cool history behind it.

DO NOT COME HERE.

I would NOT recommend this place to any of my friends or family. It is dirty-all the changing rooms smell of mold and the staff is rude and unhelpful. Please spend your money elsewhere-they do not deserve your business.
I had the worst experience of my life at this establishment. I payed for a jacuzzi online in advance. When we arrived we were~15 minutes early but decided to purchase the jacuzzi/pool combination. I payed for my boyfriends share plus the extra in mine for the additional pool. We were given wristbands and told where to change. I used my credit card and signed a recipe. This was our first time here and we were not told any additional information. After using the pool we headed to our jacuzzi, passing the front desk and following the signs to where it was. We found our assigned jacuzzi and opened the door that was unlocked. 15 minutes later there was a knock on the fence and a woman was accusing us of not checking in or paying for the jacuzzi. I couldn’t find my recite because I hadn’t taken the customer copy and we were never told that we needed to check in separately for the jacuzzi, especially because we had already payed and weren’t told otherwise. We asked her multiple times to find my signed recite and she refused saying they don’t have the recite. She then proceeded to kick us out, not even letting me change out of my bathing suit, completely embarrassing us and ruining the end of our vacation.

My friend and I visited the hot springs after our rafting trip and it was ok. The gentleman working behind the counter was very nice and let us have a look around before deciding if we wanted to go in the caves, pool, or hot tubs. We decided on the caves. The caves are pretty neat but the whole place is older and seems very worn in. The caves are meant to be a quiet place for relaxing but there were 2 women who ruined that. The caves are natural but they have exposed PVC pipe plumbing running into each pool which ruins the natural look. The water in some pools is unbearably hot and in the others just feels like a hot tub. They charge $25 for an hour and we didn’t even want to stay that long. I would not spend money on this again.

This place is not a "luxury" resort so don't expect that. The rooms and hot springs facilities are basic, but I think the prices reflect this fairly.

If you like really hot spring water like I do, you will enjoy the hot spring caves. There are 3 pools that are all hot with the hottest being enough to satisfy any heat seeker. Very relaxing.

I've stayed in rooms in the main building twice and they are are basic, not particularly cozy, and not overly expensive. They are a place to crash. The big problem is the old walls may as well be made of newspaper with regard to blocking noise. You'll hear every move someone makes in the hall, and cross your fingers you don't get noisy neighbors like I did my last stay. My advice if you hope to sleep after enjoying the hot spring cave: bring ear plugs.
