Admission is by voluntary contribution, costumed volunteers re-enact the activities of each area's time period and the amorous peacock keeps trying to impress both peahens and chickens. AND there's a gift shop! What's not to like? Nearby Ketring Park and Bemis Library's flower garden offer additional pleasant areas for strolling.

While there is a museum, children will be mostly interested in the historic working farms. Nice place to spend the afternoon... plus admission is free.

The museum consists of a small indoor history exhibit and 2 outdoor period working farms. This is a great place to visit on the weekends, and the price is right (free). I enjoyed taking my little girl who had only really ever seen farm animal on TV. She thoroughly enjoyed herself. There is also a walking path that loops the... More

I took my kids there when they were little (18&19 now) and we loved it there. My husband and I go occasionally now and just stroll around and talk to the "pioneers" and enjoy going back in time.

Littleton museum and art gallery are interesting to check out. The historic period farm have character actors representing that period in time that Littleton was a rural farming community. They interact with visitors in historic farmhouses, barns, school houses as they tend to their daily chores. Always an enjoyable experience.

Love this museum, it is perfect for kids. They can see what it was like to go to school in a one room school house, visit a blacksmith, see live animals.

This is a fun and educational place to simply take a relaxing walk or a homeschool fieldtrip outing with children. All of my 6 children have wonderful memories of spending time at this Museum. The 2 different homes are decorated accurately to period, the barn, blacksmith, school, ice house, and gardens all offer educational and interesting learning experiences. Just don't... More

I have brought my children to Littleton Museum many times. The kid love it! Great place to have a picnic, there is "Ketring Park" right next to it. You can take a walk around the pond and watch the swans and ducks.

We enjoyed the visit to the art exhibit as well as the permanent collection. The farm visits are very interesting. We really liked the conversation with the volunteers at the 1860 farmhouse.

This place is great. Kids get to run around on the large property and see animals, frontier buildings, and a real blacksmith at work. The inside of the museum holds little interest for them, but it is a great outing on a sunny day.
