Gorgeous and well cared for

Respect the land :-) As a native Coloradan, I like the geological allure akin to that of Garden of the Gods. Well worth a jog around or leisurely walk year round.

Very nice trails, clear signs, magnificent views!!!! Definitely recommend all trails!!!! The only reservation - on the Carpenter Peak trail there is a way to do a loop if one takes USFS 800 trail back - DON'T. It's boring, not scenic at all. Not too bad, just not worth your time unless you are doing a long run and need... More

We visited here with two teenage grandchildren and a 5 month old grandchild. We split into two groups with the teens headed for the harder trail and the baby on the path for the stroller. Beautiful views, nice visitor center without traveling too far from Denver.

The park is like a compact version of Garden of the Gods, but without the drive to Colorado Springs. When you have out of town visitors who want a "Colorado Experience," with the drive, take them to Roxborough. The walkways are well developed and can be used most times of the year. The information center is good without being overdone... More

we hiked the Fountain Valley Trail on a sparkling day and wow what a beautiful hike. I am not experienced or necessarily in great shape but I was able to do the 2.3 miles. Bring water. We did see mule deer right on the trail and we stared at each other for 10 mins at least. Planning to return here... More

The south rim, 3.4 mile walk took about 1 1/2 hours. It was wonderful. Great views. Moderate to east walk and has to be a top favorite we've done. Be sure to do that one.

Roxborough is a beautiful state park with amazing rock formations. They have ranger guided tours also knowledgeable volunteers that lead tours of fauna and flora. There are hiking trails for every level. Moonlight guided hikes. There is a house staffed with rangers, restrooms, postings of Wildlife spotted. There are bears, deer, etc living in the area. It is a beautiful... More

Quiet and beautiful - a hidden gem. Great for hiking and photography. As much as I love the country and nature, one of my favorite things is the view of the Denver skyline as you're leaving the park.
