Lucky Three Ranch is a working ranch and not open to the public except for scheduled tours. Tours are available Monday through Friday by appointment only, and all tours begin at 10:00 AM. The tour season runs from January through October. Our tours are perfect for seniors, children, and anyone with an interest in animals. If you are an equestrian—we have even more for you!

Come meet the saddle mules, including 18-hand Belgian draft mule, Roll, along with the newest additions, miniature donkeys Spuds & Augie. Experience the beautiful life-size bronze sculptures of the Loveland Longears Sculpture Park that commemorate many of the record breaking feats of the Lucky Three champions. For the kids, visit Jasper’s Bunkhouse and see the diorama of Jasper’s Happy Valley Ranch!

The ranch is handicap-accessible and we provide tour carts for our guests who have mobility issues or who might not otherwise be able to make the trek around the property.

Our group of 20+ friends had a scheduled tour of the Lucky Three Ranch. This promised to be something different from museum or art gallery tours, since the ranch specializes in mules and donkeys. My only experience with mules was seeing them on farms in North Carolina when I was very young. As an adult, I had encountered wild burros... More

I took my RV group that was staying in Loveland to the Lucky Three Ranch and everyone had a great time. Very informative and fun! The beautiful grounds and sculptures were a treat. Meredith's passion for these mules and donkeys was inspiring. Our group loved it and many are planing to go back with their families! I would highly recommend... More

This ranch is incredible! Meredith and staff are truly amazing at what they do! The tour was wonderful and so uplifting to listen to someone who is so passionate and good at what they do. The team at Lucky Three shared their fabulous sculptures and awesome mules with a group of members from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County. We even got to meet Jasper. They really made our visit a very positive experience!

This was our June Day Trip for 56 people in our group. When we arrived at the location, we were greeted by very professional ladies, showing us where to park our charter bus and assuring us that they were anticipating our arrival. The host of our tour was Meredith Hodges, world-recognized authority on training donkeys and mules to championship status.... More

I hardly know where to begin. It was the most fascinating, educational, and informative experience that went far beyond our expectations! We spent 4 hours with Meredith, her staff and of course her 'longears'. Beyond belief how her philosophy, and love regarding the care, treatment and training of these wonderful animals has made champions of them. After meeting Meredith's longears,... More

mWe had a great time at the lucky Three Ranch! It was educational and fun. We loved meeting the mules and donkeys and hearing their stories. The are amazingly smart, talented and funny. This is a very worthwhile tour to learn about mules and the origins of the ranch. Beautiful grounds and well cared for animals by "mule whisperer", Meredith Hodges. Watch the listing of trips in the Fort Collins Recreator for the tour through the Senior Center. A van takes you directly to the ranch after which we stopped at Biaggi's in... More

I just wanted to clarify that the Lucky Three Ranch is in Loveland, not Ft. Collins. It is rather difficult to find so consult the website or check out Google or Bing maps for assistance.
