Long trails all way to Horsetooth Reservoir or short trails to keyhole and back. Situated on edge of plains and near foothills of Rockies Hawks and falcons along trail.

Great hike and beautiful views of mountains, mountains are well labeled. Fairly flat hike, well drained trail.

I have walked or ran this trail numerous times; alone, with dogs and/or with peeps. It has several distances to chose from the same trailhead. The easiest/shortest is the 3 mile keyhole loop. It is dog friendly, has plenty of parking, restrooms and water at the trailhead. All loops are fairly easy (not a lot of elevation gain). It does... More

I thought the trails were nice and not too challenging. The views are nice, but if you go in the summer there is not really any shade so it is very hot! Bring lots of water.

The Devil's Backbone Trail is just west of Loveland, Colorado with easy access from route 34. It's a pretty easy hike to the main attraction of the trail, the "Keyhole". The Keyhole is a hole in the rocks of the Devil's backbone which allows hikers to see through the rocks to the Rockies, Long's Peak being the most prominent mountain.

Very easy hike just be careful of the rattlesnakes! It is very easy to access each pathway and it's just gorgeous early in the morning when you walk the pathways around Devil's Backbone

Have passed Devil's Backbone several times enroute to RMNP. Pretty hike with great views at the top. There are restrooms at the trailhead. Don't forget the sunscreen. This hike is not shaded!

Devil's backbone is a nice easy hike with some moderate inclines. It is a open space so go early morning or evening if you are going in the summer. Otherwise, you better wear sunscreen and bring water. It is a popular hiking area so the trails can be pretty busy with runners and bikes, though there are separate sections for... More

Devil's Backbone, Loveland, Colorado is one of the best overall nature hike in the Front Range of Colorado. It is an easy hike with limited elevation gain. You do need good walking shoes(hiking). This is an open area so at this time of year it is best to visit in the early morning (before 10:00 AM) or late afternoon (5:00... More
