This museum wasn't originally on our list to visit, but I'm sure glad that we made the stop. The paleontologist who gave the tour was awesome with our kids and clearly loved the museum. The kids loved being able to touch several of the "fossils" (actually recreations). My son got to work on a rock containing an actual dinosaur bone.... More

My 7-year-old son is OBSESSED with dinosaurs. He has said that he wants to be a paleontoligist since he learned the word at age 3. This museum was AWESOME. It is small, but they have plenty of REAL fossils that the kids can touch. The tour, which was given by a paleontoligist, was great. She was extremely knowledgable and wonderful... More

Had no idea this little museum was there. So we saw it and decided to stop by. Only two floors, but if you want, they'll have a Guided tour for you. we opted just to wander the two floors (In a little house) to see the fossils and read the history of the fossils there in Morrison. Very interesting actually.... More

I have lived in the area for 9 years and had no idea this museum existed. I thought it would be a good compliment to the visit my grandson and I had to Dinosaur Ridge, but I had no idea what awaited us. We took the tour of this museum that encourages touching (two fingers only please). What a treat... More

I was looking for an unusual tourist attraction in the Denver area and I chose the Morrison Nat Hist Museum because it featured local dinosaur fossils. We contacted them by email and requested the 10:15am tour. They responded within a couple hours so I booked a hotel in Lakewood because I didn't want to fight the Denver traffic at 9am.... More

I've lived in CO for 45 years, so I giggled when I saw Morrison has a natural history museum. It is a small town and I imagined a disorganized personal collection of bones. I decided to read the reviews, which piqued my interest. I took my 11 year old niece to the museum and I was pleasantly surprised.although a bit... More

A small town Museum with an incredible staff and wonderful displays. The tracks are amazing as in the incite provided by the guide(s). Dinosaurs reflect finds on Nearby Dinosaur ridge, and the history of Arthur Lakes finds on the ridge

My son was a dinosaur dude when he was little. He loved this place. We got to "help" uncover a dinosaur. He was in heaven. We brought friends here and they loved it too!

I very much suggest going here, no matter what age you are. The big Denver museum is good, but this is so much better for getting up close without too much crowd. Most things are tracks or casts so you can touch things, which is also unique. Go to the tour as that's also very informative and gives you such... More
