I've been on two different trips with Fence Post and his wranglers. I did a small pack trip in the San Juan Mountains. I own horses back home, so the riding part did not make me nervous. Gorgeous scenery, alpine views, comfortable hut, good vittles...More

Upon arriving at this stable, my family and I were not impressed with the conditions the stable was in, could have been better. We chose this place because it was the only horse stable still open for the season, and it was very close to...More

This was a wonderful experience. Post is the name of the owner, also known as Fence Post. What a guy! An old cowboy, that's been riding horses and bulls for years, and guiding people on hunting expeditions. He has a great bunch of horses, and...More

We tried to go on a fun ride with our teenage grand daughters but we're very disappointed by the pre ride preparation by the staff. We arrived early and thought we would be on the trail at the advertised time--some 30 minutes later the group...More

A pleasant 1 hour horseback ride on well-mannered, well cared for horses with a bonus gift from the head wrangler of a crocheted water bucket. These are the kind of fun jokes Mr. F (Fence) Post shares. He's a character and just spending time with...More

We had an awesome time! Fence Post, the owner, is a HOOT! He's quite entertaining to talk to as we were getting saddled up for our ride. Each of the 6 of us in our group was appropriately paired with a horse and then sent...More

I was very happy with the price for ride. We went for the 2 hr ride but when all was said and done it took about 3 hours total. There were several short breaks for the horses as we began at 8,200' and rode up...More

The main guy here was pretty good and pretty funny and informative. The tourguides were flat out rude to my kids. When things got a little out of hand with a horse, she would yell at the kids as opposed to helping with the situation....More

I think that's correct, $35 to $40 for the hour which is a great price, imo. You'll definitely want to leave a tip because you will have a fun time.

I don't know about weight limits but I do know that I am a 260lbs solid built man and he brought a big horse just for that reason. My horse was a beast and could easily have carried two of me
