I have been skiing Wolf Creek Ski Area since 1995. I live in Pagosa Springs and it is a short 30 minutes drive to the ski area for me so I get there a lot! I've skied at least 26 different ski areas from Big...More

We did not go to the ski lodge, but just took the drive. Absolutely beautiful. Easy driving, and numerous turn offs for pictures. Fall foliage has started, and snow up on the Pass, but roads were cleared. Definitely take this drive.

Awesome place for skiing and boarding and just hanging out in one of the restaurants is always fun too. Professionally run and the staff are all so nice.

Wolf Creek is a beautiful place to ski. They get lot of snow here and that makes for great ski conditions. It is an inspiring place to ski. Go see it for yourself and see if it doesn't inspire you.

Best fresh powder in Colorado in the winter and righteous hiking when the snow goes away! I only got up a few times in the winter but have summited Alberta Peak quite a few times! Heading straight up the face, taking an access fire road...More

We did not actually go to the lodge or ski area, but we did drive the highway through the pass and to the summit! What a great view and drive! The driver must pay attention to the road, but that route into Pagosa Springs was...More

Of course the first time we go it's unseasonably dry. Not much snow, runs are pretty short but pretty good for relatively new skiers. I'm 41 and ski mostly blues and wide open blacks.

The drive is beautiful, the mountains still had snow in May and you again cross the Continental Divide. We have visited in winter and the skiing is awesome with major snow fall. However, we have enjoyed the area in all seasons.

My husband and I are cautious intermediate skiers, and Wolf Creek Ski Resort has a great variety of runs for all types of skiers! Beautiful skiing and scenery!

Great snow every day! So much snow the pass was closed for a day or two. But the skiing was incredible. Our oldest daughter took snow board lessons and she's not a novice anymore. We could not have asked for a better trip. See ya...More

I found this on Wolf Creek's website: From the South Fork side, Alamosa Bus Company runs a shuttle service to the ski area. They only offer one bus schedule a day.

There are some hotels on the west side that will do shuttle services to the ski area, but not sure if the east side, south fork, that provide any transportation to the ski area. Staying in Pagoda provides better alternatives... More

I have driven both multiple times in all types of weather. No comparison, Ski Apache is more dangerous and scary. Wolf Creek ski area is far superior to Ski Apache.
