Just a short drive from Pagosa Springs we found this beautiful place. The falls were frozen and just stunning! You can see them from the parking lot, but it's worth a fairly easy short hike for a closer look. We love waterfalls!

A beautiful waterfall that is just a short walk from the road. It is well worth a stop if you are driving up to Wolf Creek Pass. I'm sure the parking lot can get crowded during the busy summer season.

Fun stop and an easy enough hike for kids. Beautiful views. The paths are clear and easy to maneuver but can be steep in places. It's a beautiful sight and worth every minute.

The main trail is short, wide and easy. You could do the loop but the second trail is steep and could be very slippery if wet. The fall is beautiful and worth the effort.

Very easy to find. There was plenty of parking. The hike to the falls was great to stretch your legs & break up the monotony of the day but short enough where we had plenty of time to make several other attractions later. Nice history...More

We stopped and took this hike up to the falls. There are two different trails. One is more challenging than the other. Our grandchildren took the more primitive trail and my husband and I took the easier one. We called it the Grandma Trail. I...More

Nice trail, nice short hike, takes about 15-20 minutes to hike to the falls and it’s worth it! Several benches along the way for those who need to rest on the way up. Trail in good condition and pretty wide.

Hi it is winter in early March. However this falls it right by the highway. Hike up may be very icy and snowy. We were up here at the end of March last year and it was very snowy. 4 feet high in some places. Did not have... More

Agree with the individual above. Giardia and cryptosporidium is a problem and I would not take a chance.

Sorry for the delay, I'd recommend you'd avoid the hike with your son. At the least, you may want to explain your concern with your operator
