This is one of the closest wineries to the bike rental shop, so might well be your first stop. For us, as relative novices, it was a fascinating introduction to wine-tasting, and we certainly learned a few things. Out host took talked us through the...More

We visited Varaison today on a girl's trip. We enjoyed our server very much, but I haven't ever had wine that bad. Any time you hear "old world Italian" you should run for the hills. Or at least another winery.More

The complementary tasting walks you through about 6 different wines with instructions on how best to taste a white vs. red. what certain wine terms mean, and what fruit notes to look for. I didn't love the wine itself (too sweet/fruit forward), but my boyfriend...More

There are wineries a plenty to check out in and around Palisade. Each is unique, and we found every vibe from old world euro-cafe, to modern fun takes on new world wines, and one or two wineries with a bit too much of a spring...More

Served in the ambiance of a beautiful Victorian home, the servers and family are very knowledgeable about their wines, and take the time to explain what you are tasting, etc. Outgoing, lovely characters, this is a family owned business and excellent at what they do....More

Our first stop on our wine tasting tour of Palisade wine country was to the Varaison Winery. A friend had highly recommended Varaison. I can see why. Jackie, our wine guide was fabulous! Her knowledge of wine was extensive and very informative. We selected two...More

Happened upon this place on our walk home (friend's house) and so glad we have it a chance! Fire pit Friday! The peach daiquiri paired with some roasted marshmallows over the fire topped off our night. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the sky...More

I am going to be as nice as possible on this review because I don't want to sound as bad as their wine or as snobby as the staff. I'll start off but justifying the star. I'll say this if you don't want to read...More
