Locals say the new owners are going to make the Redstone Castle open to the public. This will take a few years as the building needs to be brought up to code. Call before going.

My husband, Steve, and I are proud to be the new owners of this gem in the Rockies. Tours are every Saturday and Sunday through the spring, at 1:30. Additional tours will be held during the summer months. Welcome to our Castle! More

Today's tour at the Redstone Castle was quite informative and provided a wonderful overview of not only history of the region, but in the state. Unfortunately, (as previously mentioned in other posts) The Castle is to be auctioned on October 7, 2016. The last tour will be on 10/6/16.

While I wouldn't call this a castle, it's definitely a mansion worth the visit. My guide was so informative, and she took the time to answer all of the group's questions. And there were photo opportunities galore! The mansion and grounds are beautiful, and the history of the owner is very interesting. The mansion is up for sale, and the... More

Had a tour of the Redstone Castle, which included a lot of history of the region. The Castle is in a state of change right now, so it was the perfect time to tour it.

The history of the mansion is the history of the area since the man who had it built was the founder of the mine that was the reason for Redstone. He was also the visionary of the unique and picturesque Town of Redstone. You can tour most rooms in the house. When it was given its historical designation, the building... More

My husband, Steve, and I are proud to be the new owners. Tours are every Saturday and Sunday through the spring, with more added for the summer. We plan to have areas of the Castle not previously on the tour opened up for visitors, such as servant areas and stables. More

I picked the right thing to do on a rainy day in Carbondale. A scenic 35 minute ride took me to the charming town of Redstone. The town is small and quaint. There are original houses from the turn of the century, art galleries and a country store. You can buy your tickets in town and they will tell you... More

Our group of 10 adults in their 50s was vacationing @ River Valley Ranch in Carbondale, CO when we visited Redstone 7/18/2016 to tour the home & town. If you love history & peering into the lives of the ultra wealthy of 100 years ago, this is a lesser known personality & place worthy of your attention. The private home... More
