Glad we went. Educational video, free site, and got to leisurely feed the fish! Nice break from driving or being in the heat. We did it over our honeymoon!

Someone was there to explain the procedure. Have been to several hatcheries and this one was pretty small. Enjoyable. Think younger children would be fascinated. The host gave us a can of fish food which really made it fun.

So fun!!! And free 🤗 1 year old and 3 year old were in heaven - cool for adults too! I would highly recommend this for a fun family outing while visiting salida!

In season has guides to talk about work of hatchery and walk you around various ponds with fish of various sizes. Lots of information and kids love watching fish run. Guides provide some of fish food so kids can feed. Good time had by all....More
