My kids love fish and we always have to check out the hatchery when we are around one. They have a large place with lots of little fish. The staff I spoke with was very friendly and informative.

Our large family decided visit the hatchery on our annual vacation to Salida. The video was pretty neat and feeding the trout was fun too. Just don't expect to be there for more than an hour.

There were two pools of small trout. Not worth visiting, but nearby is a small lake with wonderful views - a good spot for a picnic.
