Great place to play!

Had a great time sledding with the grandkids! Great hills and you can ski if you have the desire and skill! Felt like home!

In this era of the mega-corporate ski Industry, it's such a pleasure to see small, local ski areas still in existence. If you are a REAL skier, you owe it to yourself to spend some time on the easy slopes of places like this. It's history! Roots! Authentic! We should patronize all the small ski areas, to keep them in... More

I went to Silverton for the big mountain. After my day, at the hotel I happen to look outside my hotel room window and I saw a small hill. I jumped in my truck and drove. There was standing a small ski station with a log chalet and a big ice rink. Little munchkins going down the hill, parents assisting.... More

What great fun, kick sled races, fireworks, horse shoes, fat tire bike race, talent show, chili cook off... And more in one weekend in Silverton, co. Like stepping back in time when you drive down the mountain. Friendly and welcoming town everyone knows everyone.

Every year we bring our college group here. Why? Because they can ski/snowboard affordably, ice-skate, cross-country ski, snowshoe, & Sled. So many options all in one place and a warm lodge for those who just want to read.

This is our go to place when we are in Silverton during the winter. Family friendly offering ice skating, hockey, sledding, skiing and snowboarding. We love it.

We visited for the 2nd time today(our 1st visit was in 2013). Our kids 9, 7, & 4 had a great time. The staff are all so patient and helpful with beginners. The staff all seemed to enjoy being there. We were thrilled to have a place where all of the kids could do the type of run they wanted... More

We got to the mountain early and had the fresh powder all to ourselves for like half an hour, it was fabulous! My first beginner trip was to Wolf Creek and that was a nightmare. Kendall was heaven comparatively speaking! I really had space to learn and people were really respectful that I didn't know what I was doing, even... More

6 full days, 4 endurance challenge formats (6-day, 72 hour, 48 hour, 24 hour) all on the Kendall Mountain ski lift. Beautiful one mile loop trail. Even if you only go around once, the views of Silverton are worth the effort. Try early morning while the mist is still on the pond, or go late in the evening for sunset... More

Highly recommend a ride up Kendall Mountain! We rode our ATV up the road to Kendall Mountain, and the view was excellent -- all of Silverton on display, surrounded by majestic mountains, and if you time it right, the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad coming through the valley! On ATV, not a technical ride, and nothing like Imogene Pass, Engineer, or... More
