Hot springs set in natural settings, with river and very hot streams, pools are made out of natural stones mimicking nature-made like areas. Definitely interesting and a thing to do if you are in the area. However, pretty crowded and all stones in water covered in algae and slippery.

or you'll miss Strawberry hot springs. The signs run out before yu leave the paved road and get in to the unpaved section, so all wheel drive is recommended. The pools are very enjoyable, the new restrooms are pleasant, bit the changing cabin is very basic, so you may prefer to change before you get there. Flip flops are a... More

It was different and somewhat relaxing. Picturesque setting and pretty cool how the water just pours out of the side of the mountain. But overall, worth ONE and done. Price is right. But why don't they have a few clocks so that all the people who come via bus can track the time to meet the return bus? Odd.

Strawberry Springs has pools for every comfort level. From 106 to 70. There is a small warming hut and private changing areas, but all you really need is a towel and a backpack for your clothes.

A must go & see if you are in Steamboat. Highly recommended. It would be nice to have bigger cabinets to change

This is a place you can't drive on your own if you don't have 4 wheel drive and good shocks! We went on the sweet pea van I'm glad too! Beautiful area and the springs are like a natural wonder. Remember to take bathing suit and snow pants in the winter as this is cold! A place to remember and... More

really creepy in the dark and couples smoking pot, no staff members apart the one guy a ten minute walk up the hill in the pitch black, really couldn't find our way in the dark, I actually slipped off one of the stone steps and onto the lower one and panicked because it was very hot water and I didn't... I have "been aware" of Strawberry H.S. since the 1970's! when it was just open to anyone who wandered by and in (lots of what you might call "counter-culture-ness" going on. However, I did not visit it then. I (we) waited, and went with family now that it's "controlled" (admi$$ion, gates, rules (no loose dogs, don't pee in the pool,... More

This place is cool however, seriously a lawsuit waiting to happen. No lighting at dark. Not even kidding. Can be dangerous. Unless you don't care if you slip and hurt yourself on your way to stumbling down to the hot spring and blindly feel your way around to eventually get into the water.. Then, if you happen to be there... More

Getting there is half the fun, the last miles are steep and beautiful. Well worth the effort. The hot springs and surrounding vista are well worth the trip. A nice way to relax and soak up (excuse pun) the beauty. There are multiple pools that vary in heat as you move through them. You can progress to the hotter zones... More
