This is an expensive place to ski. The resort has all the amenities of an upscale ski resort; restaurants, bars, ski in/out accommodations, friendly and attentive employees, etc. We were there early in the season (Thanksgiving week) and all the snow was manmade. The base...More

As a multi-pass skier, I was surprised and disappointed that Steamboat sets itself apart from everyone else, and gives so few discounts for such things as friends-and-family, etc. Considering the values that Vail Resorts gives to pass holders, Steamboat becomes a very expensive alternative if...More

Steamboat actually has 3 peaks so you can get a bit lost if you don't follow the signs. We rarely wait in the lift line more than 5 minutes. Lots of intermediate and challenge. The tree skiing is good and when you hit a powder...More

Zip line, meals, alpine slide, more meals and very, very friendly staff. I recommend this stop on your tour through Colorado with family. Wanted to stay longer and bike...ran out of time.

Can't speak for skiing, but took the gondola up in the summer and took a nice 1 mile hike around the top of Mt. Werner followed by a beer on the patio overlooking the valley. Really nice way to spend an afternoon.

The trails were great. Our 4 yr-old was hoing down blues before we left (thanks to ski school). No one told us this; the trails in the very top right are excellent, wide and not too steep, not a green but not necessarily a blue...More

This is not a huge resort, but has many great runs to ski. We believe it gets better (no more sadly) snow than the other CO resorts. It is often that we ski the type of powder we find in UT.

If I recall from a trip to Steamboat a few years back, we had an excellent (Valentine's) dinner AT the Steamboat Grand...I would bet money that there is steak on the menu. Only other place I can speak to is the 8th Street... More
