The Alpine Slide is temporarily closed..... there was a mud slide on the upper part of Howelsen Hill which shifted the lift towers. Until the towers are reattached to the bedrock, it is unsafe to operate the lift. The City is working on fixing the lift - as soon as it is safe to ride, we will re-open. Unfortunately, we do not have a set date as to when that will happen.

The ride to the top was half the fun. Great views of Steamboat ski resort. The ride was long and I would suggest getting two rides because the first one will thrill you and with the second you can hone your leaning into the turns...More

A bit pricey, but the ride up the chairlift provided some relaxation and nice views. Once at the top, you could see pretty much all of Steamboat - incredible! The slide itself was so much fun. As long as you're competent, you can figure it...More

Our group of five women various ages went down the Alpine slide. Enjoyed it and some wanted to go for a second time, but weather did not allow.

We had a blast! We only went once but we could have gone several more times. We took our twin 5 year olds who rode with an adult and they loved it. Highly recommended!

Been on many alpine slides while traveling with grandchildren. This is as good as they get. Don't miss it, a great way to spend an afternoon. The Sombrero Ranch next door also gives you an opportunity to pet some horses.

This should be a really fun attraction, and several members of our family were looking forward to it. As they got to the top, one staff member told another to quit selling tickets because it was starting to sprinkle. Warning signs said to get off...More

How can you go wrong with an alpine slide? The slide is well maintained, the pricing is reasonable, and the employees are friendly.
