There are rivers, and there are RIVERS. The San Miguel is a powerful force that deserves respect, yet is lovely and constantly changing. In winter she is full of ice and sparklingly lethal water. In spring she roars with snowmelt for the valleys below, and gives kayakers a thrill. In summer she is cool and refreshing. In fall the gorgeous... More

One of only a few freestone rivers in Colorado that isn't damned. The river gets stocked regularly and holds some lunkers in secret spots!

Bordered by the Idarado Trail and River Trail which are both easy walking and biking and eventually merges into the single track bike/hike Valley Trail. Whenever possible we took... More

We spent a couple days on the river and had a blast. We used a fishing guide service, Telluride Outside. The views and fishing were fantastic!

Enjoyed this easy trail along the river. Spent about 2 hours biking. Connects to national forest as well. Nice wide trails.
