We are always interested in landscapes and this garden does not disappoint. Walking through the gardens and along Gore creek (with or without yak tracks or snow shoes) is really fun and beautiful in the winter. The plants are covered in snow and so not available. Bit the trees and shrubs are not and are beautiful! There is even a... More

The gardens and grounds are lovely. The flora is well organized and meticulously labeled. It would be best visited in the summer months when all is in bloom. There are few winter hardy plants in the collection.

These gardens are a tribute to Mrs. Ford. Over the years we have seen them add to what they have. This is a great garden to see what grows at this altitude.

A beautifully maintained garden that encourages exploration as well as a chance to sit quietly on a bench and drink in its beauty.

We've been here a number of times but not this late in the fall. While there aren't many flowering plants, it is still beautiful. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and seeing the fall crocus blooming. So much to explore here with so many microclimates.

There were not many flowers in September, but the garden was beautiful. We had a nice relaxing stroll and enjoyed seeing the different types of alpine vegetation from all over the world. Highly recommended.

The walk to the gardens is beautiful from Vail village. The gardens are not very big, but a nice walk if that's what you are looking for.

Maybe I was disappointed because I've seen two superior alpine gardens in the Pacific Northwest. No one was in the Education Center. No one was in the garden, except for a couple of grounds keepers who zipped around in a golf cart. Plantings weren't notable.
