As a first time rafter I felt totally safe and secure with this company. The instructions we received prior to the water were excellent. Our guide was top notch and I felt very safe and secure in his boat. He has years of experience and I would not want to do this again unless he was our guide.

If you have 4-wheel drive as long as the roads are dry you can take any of these roads yourself and spend more time looking at the views. It was nice hearing about the history but we would have been more relaxed if we did it ourself. We've never tried a tour before so we thought it could be fun... More

We had so much fun with Phil that we are still talking about it days later. He brought a clear focus on safety the entire time, with a comfort from 20 years of experience along with a very personal and friendly approach that made it fun for everyone on our boat! I also appreciated Mia calling beforehand to give us... More

If you want to go rafting in the Vail Valley (or outside of it - they do plenty of other trips around Colorado too) Timberline Tours is the place you go. They have seasoned, experienced guides, provide a one-of-a-kind luxury rafting experience, have the friendliest staff, great facilities and have been around a long time. The rivers can be fun,... Timberline Tours White Water Rafting on the Colorado River just outside Vail, Colorado is a great trip. They pick you up and drop you off. The white water crashing over the raft is amazing. Sit in the front to get the full effect. On the flat water, you can take a dip over the side. Awesome!!! Emily was a great... More

We had the best guide (Nate!) and the best time on this tour which was worth the price as we truly went off-roading and saw some spectacular scenery. The view at the highest point is amazing as you get a 360 look at Colorado's highest peaks. You need to dress for the sun in the summertime and then for a... More

My thirteen year old and I wanted to do a class 3 rapid trip and this was an awesome one!! It was thrilling and fun. You do have to carry the raft up and down ramps three times with the help of the guide.

Having done 4 off road experiences in Colorado in the past week, we were hoping for something a little different, and Dustin provided it! We experienced the timber line off road experience with the tour culminating at a delightful forest meadow & stream. So tranquil & refreshing. Tall stands of pine & aspen surrounded the trail at all times, making... More

I signed up for a moderate white water rafting expedition that was to last 2.5-3 hours. We expected some fun and excitement. Instead, we got 20 minutes of tiny "rapids" and then over 2 hours of literally just sitting in a boat and doing nothing. At most, we'd be told to paddle for 10 seconds once every 15-30 minutes. The... More

Thank you, Joshen, for your response, and we are so sorry that you did not have the experience you were hoping for on the river. Unfortunately, your trip landed right in our late season when the water levels in all river sections have dropped significantly and all white water companies only run the class 2 and 3 rapids that are... If you are in the Vail/Beaver Creek area you have to do this!! Very professionally run group. We loaded on to a very nice bus after receiving our equipment and started our ride to the drop in with Shane, Vernie, and Amber. Amber gave us a safety briefing about what to expect. We were a bit nervous but all proved... More

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback here--it means a lot to us to know that you had a PROFESSIONAL experience. At this time of the year, the rapids are lower on some stretches of river, so we hope you can come back earlier in the summer...or, if you did Shoshone, consider doing the Triple Thriller afternoon trip,...
