Not very crowded if you go early. We took the free bus shuttle at 8am. Bus stop is third one from Vail. Takes maybe 6 minutes. Trail head is 2 tenths of a mile up from bus stop. Trail head only had two parking spaces...More

I’m in good shape and this was a tough hike. Took us roughly 3 hrs. If you’ve got an extra three hours and Want even more challenge you can go another 1500 feet up to the lake. Next time!

I did the 4 mile hike with my family (kids are in their 20's). This trip is not for beginners or little kids. I might be one notch above beginner and I struggled in a few spots. We took our time and enjoyed the views....More

My family was told that the hike to the lake, beyond the falls, was 4 miles and the falls were 2 miles. They were wrong!!!! We started out around 11:45am, went all the way to the lake, and were the last ones off the mountain...More

We hiked this trail while in town for our Anniversary. We hike quite a bit so this wasn’t much of a challenge but it did provide many beautiful views. It does seem to get a little crowded so I would recommend going earlier in the...More

This was a 2 mile moderate hike to the falls. We left early and saw very few people until we reached the falls. The climb was a little harder than we anticipated, coming from Seattle but definitely worth it and we were back down with...More

For those of you who have not hiked to Booth falls before I highly recommend you don't hike all the way to the lake for your first time. Although, it is beautiful... it doubles the hike and the trail is hard to find after the...More

This is a great trail to do and easy to find and get to from anywhere in Vail. We got there about 8:45 or so and there were 2-3 spots left in the parking lot. The bus stops right there so that's an option as...More

Booth Falls trail is the most popular trail to suggest to our Vail guests. It is easier than some of the other trails in the East Vail drainages, so it gets a ton of traffic. The hike isn't that spectacular until you get to the...More

I took the East Vail bus to the trailhead which is a great option, especially since parking is limited relative to the hordes of people who want to hike this trail. It felt quite crowded at times. I ended up sprinting down the trail because...More

My husband hiked this trail last September and said in was beautiful. The leaves were turning. It can be chilly in the early morning, but usually in the 65- 70s if sun is out by noon.
