While attending the Stratford Festival we drove over to see Castle Kilbride. My friend wanted to see Lester B Pearson’s shoes immortalized in bronze. It is a charming statue as is the one of Mackenzie King with his strange, and appropriate, empty chairs. We then...More

What a great journey to the past. It is well worth the time and small cost to gift yourself a tour. The rise and fall of a once very prominent family offers a glimpse of a bygone eta.

Period furnishings, wall and ceiling paintings displayed as often seen throughout historic European estates. Coming from Wales, know where close to being a castle....More

We did a tour of this sentimentally historic mansion. Sentimental as it was a family home for three generations and present family are still living nearby. In addition to the building's beauty is the treasure of furniture inside. We enjoyed a light afternoon tea on...More

This "villa" is an interesting place and a very important part of the areas history.. After seeing European castles.. I can hardly call this a castle.. but it is definitely worth your time if you like historical places..
